Both organizations recognize mutual safety in the assessment of pressures and velocities, despite their different methods. When loading with Shooters World propellants, please utilize only data published by Shooters World LLC or Lovex. Comparisons to other propellants are meant strictly to convey relative burn rates, and have no bearing upon specific recipes. Product Overview
We are proud to offer Shooters World 50 BMG Smokeless Powder in 1 lbs canisters. 50 BMG is a medium-slow burning, high density, double base, ball propellant most suitable for .50 Browning cartridge. In addition to nitrocellulose double base powders contain also nitroglycerin (8 – 23 %) as an energetic component. These powders contain also a small percentage of stabilizers or other additives as the single base powders. Double base powders are of higher energetic value than single base powders and their ballistic performance is better.

Note*As with any propellant and load combination, a minor change to any of the components of the test load CAN result in a significant shift in ballistic performance. This shift can cause unintended high pressures, and result in injury or death. Therefore, Shooters World LLC, nor the manufacturer of this propellant take no responsibility for the intentional or unintentional misuse of this product. The charge weights and results noted within are not recommended, either as a starting nor completed load. They are shown merely as an indication of potential performance in one test load, shot by CIP standards.

Short answer is No, do not use it. It might work, to get the bullet down the tube and out without blowing up, but it is a very slow burning powder meant for large case and very heavy bullet. You will not find any reloading manual that will give you a recipe for it’s use. I know powder is hard to come by right now. What I do is check the Midway site every day sometimes 2-3 times a day to see what may have come in. But before you do that you need to have in mind what will work H335, IMR 3031, H380 are all really good. H4895 will work but is not ideal I’m sure there are others get on the web and see what others are doing. In my opinion do not do it
