PRODUCT OVERVIEW: REMINGTON 9 1/2 PRIMERS| REMINGTON 9 1 2 PRIMERS
A primer is a collection of parts put together into every Remington with incredibly precise specifications. The priming mix is precisely prepared for reliable ignition with a wide range of powder types, and the primer cup dimensions are controlled to.0001″. Primers are put through reliability tests between -20 and +150 degrees F. Even with off-center firing pin strikes, the distinctive tripod anvil design offers a bigger strike area with maximum sensitivity.
Each Remington primer’s component parts are constructed with incredibly tight tolerances. The dimensions of the Remington 9 1/2 Primers are regulated to.0001, and they are perfectly prepared for reliable ignition with a variety of powders. The dependability of primers is evaluated at temperatures between -20 and +150 degrees Fahrenheit. Despite the possibility of off-center firing pin impacts, the distinctive tripod anvil design offers a larger strike area with the highest level of sensitivity.

I bought a 1000 pack carton of these primers back in the late 70’s for loading my 264 Mag and they are still just as powerful and reliable as when I bought them. The shelf life on these primers is just unbelievable (30+ years old) and no squibs or loss of accuracy or reliability. So don’t be afraid to buy extra when you are ordering in order to justify paying the hazmat fee. I have also used these in 44 Mag pistol rounds (after deepening the primer pocket on the pistol cases) and have reliable ignition on those rounds too. I shoot them in a Desert Eagle, which needs a diet of pretty hot loads to reliably function the action and these deliver with it.

Primers do make a difference! Take your favorite pet load(s) and sample several different primers and see!The Remington 9 1/2’s and CCI BR’s have consistently proven to be the most accurate loads I’ve assembled. Federal Match and Winchester LR come in slightly behind and I no longer bother with the rest.
