PRODUCT OVERVIEW: CCI 500 PRIMERS| CCI SMALL PISTOL PRIMERS
CCI Primers are evaluated and refined throughout time. Because of this, CCI primers available today are more sensitive, simpler to seat, and compatible with progressive and automated loading equipment than ever before. For the cleanest burn possible, they use contemporary non-corrosive and non-mercuric initiator blends.

I’m assuming you really mean what cartridges rather than what calibers. Common pistol cartridges requiring small pistol (SP) primers are 40SW, 357M, 9mm, 38S, and 380 (or 9mm kurz). Some loads for the 357M specify SP magnum primers (CCI 550 or equivalent). 45 Colt, 44 Rem Mag, and 45 Auto require large pistol (LP) primers, but you will find some 45A brass with a SP primer pocket. 454 Casull loads all specify small rifle (SR) primers. You can use the SR magnum primers with 454C brass, but some revolvers will not handle the thicker metal on the SR magnum primer cup.

Technically, yes. They are the same size. But I would not as they are a good bit hotter than small pistol primers. I know the are hard to find but I would not want you getting into an over-pressure situation due to short supply primers. I’d ask CCI, I’m sure they will confirm.
